Privacy and Data Protection in the Workplace

This course aims to give you as an employer an understanding of privacy rights and responsibilities in the employment arena.

It will help employers to describe and follow good practice in respect to:

• collecting and checking applicant information, including references and background checks
• monitoring and surveillance of employees
• handling employee information throughout the employment relationship

It will also enable employees to be aware of how their privacy rights and obligations apply in practice.
